The sixth course taken in my Digital Marketing Masters at Full Sail University is New Media Marketing. In this course, I created presentations on Personas/Goals/Strategy, Identifying Your Company's Influencers, Create Your Plan, and Create Your Measurement Plan.

This course was unique as students had the option to choose because Influencers or Brand Ambassadors for their case study companies. I chose to focus on recruiting influencers for Baldur's Gate 3.

Additionally, I participated in four discussion boards where I was able to contribute to meaningful conversations amongst my peers about, Marketing Topics, Addressing Negative Comments, Meeting Your Audience Where They Are, and Marketing Success.

I will be reflecting on the elements from this course that correspond with some of the topics covered in the final project of the program:

New Media / Social Media/ Experiential Storytelling

In Discussion 3: Meeting Your Audience Where They Are, initial post, I listed each of Larian Studio's social media accounts along with their follower-count to identify their best-performing social media channels. In Discussion 2: Addressing Negative Comments, initial post, I discussed the most common platform for reviews from customers and listed an example of a review, creating a sample response to an upset customer. Throughout each assignment, there was a focus on customer engagement through the use of an influencer outreach marketing campaign.

Mobile

In Discussion 2: Addressing Negative Comments, initial post, I mentioned utilizing mobile communication to move the conversation offline regarding solving customer issues through reviews or comments. I will also do additional research independently, focusing on mobile website optimization and addressing general mobile technology use like text messaging, game-based marketing, etc.

In general, this month's coursework has helped me formulate multiple elements (New Media/Social Media/Experiential Storytelling & Mobile) for my final project, a comprehensive digital marketing plan for Baldur's Gate 3, by giving me a greater understanding of influencer marketing through the creation of thorough presentations. Previously, I had learned the basics of this topic through internships and self-teaching. However, this course was more comprehensive, with a heavy focus on curating an influencer outreach plan in each assignment.

As I progress through the Digital Marketing Masters program at Full Sail University, I will be filling in missing elements to various sections on my Digital Marketing Plan for Baldur's Gate 3.
