Digital Marketing Campaign Development: Reflections & Outcomes (Final)

The twelfth and final course I've taken in my Digital Marketing Masters at Full Sail University is Digital Marketing Campaign Development. In this course, I created a Personal Brand Audit, Innovative Marketing Campaign Study, Digital Marketing Plan, and a Campaign Pitch Presentation.


Additionally, I participated in five discussion boards where I was able to contribute to meaningful conversations amongst my peers about My Career Plan, Innovative Marketing Strategies, AI Social Media Content, Pitch Presentation Best Practices, and AI Focus.


I will be reflecting on the elements from this course that corresponds with its key concepts:


Marketing Strategies & Marketing Tactics

In the Digital Marketing Plan, I detailed marketing strategies and tactics that my case study company, Larian Studios (Baldur's Gate 3), can use to further differentiate themselves within the games market. I addressed their broader business goals, marketing objectives, conversion goals, and plans of action for multiple marketing campaigns.


Emerging Technology

In the Innovative Marketing Campaign Study, I was able to identify and describe innovative marketing campaigns that utilize emerging technology. Emerging technology covered included virtual concerts and AR. An experiential marketing campaign was also covered, discussing large-scale, hybrid events.


Pitch Presentation

In the Campaign Pitch Presentation assignment and Pitch Presentation Best Practices, I was able to identify tactics to use in the creation of my final presentation for this course. The purpose of the presentation was to persuade executives into adopting the Digital Marketing Plan I created, my final master's paper of the degree program.


Mock Interview

Half-way through the course, alongside my studies, I participated in a mock interview with my career advisor. We discussed everything from maintaining a professional physical appearance, confidence, the current job market, and ways to improve my interviewee skills.





The final month's coursework has helped me formulate a comprehensive digital marketing plan for Larian Studios (Baldur's Gate 3), by giving me a greater understanding of nearly every marketing strategy/tactic through the creation of presentations, videos, documentation, and discussions. As a result of taking this final course, my confidence in my ability to showcase my skills as a digital marketer as significantly increased. I now know how to revise and adopt new marketing strategies for video game studios!


Moving forward, I will be utilizing my degree to strategically achieve my remaining career goals. Graduating with my master's was one of those goals; my remaining goals I wish to achieve within the next year include:

  • Securing full-time work as a digital marketer within games or entertainment

  • Moving to a gaming hub; a state where game studios commonly hire

  • Expanding my professional network by attending conferences like GDC

  • Obtaining relevant certifications in marketing, gaming/entertainment, etc.


I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Full Sail University, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for myself as well as my digital marketing peers!
